Hatch Pattern Software PatGen for AutoCAD 2004/2005/2006 v.1 PATGEN is a simple hatch pattern generator which allows the creation of new patterns without any knowledge of the description language used in AutoCAD PAT files.
Mac OS: Home/Library/Application Support/Autodesk/AutoCAD 201x/Rxx.x/roaming/@en@/Support/Hatch Patterns Note: For AutoCAD for Mac 2011-2015, the default location is Home/Library/Application Support/Autodesk/roaming/AutoCAD 201x/Rxx.x/enu/Support Added PAT files will have their hatches listed under the User Defined or Custom hatch menu within AutoCAD. Note: The 'AppData' and 'Application Data' folders in the above paths are hidden folders. Be sure to have hidden files/folders or you won't see them. A quick way to get to the AutoCAD Support folder is to copy the path from the Options window in AutoCAD and then paste it into the search field in the Start menu, the Cortana search box on the taskbar, or into the location bar of any folder window in Windows Explorer or File Explorer. Alternately, you can type%APPDATA% into the search field of the Start menu, the Cortana search box, or into the location bar of a folder window to take you directly to the respective Roaming and Application Data folders, which you can then drill down into the Autodesk folder, AutoCAD 20xx, etc. Editing using Notepad You may edit the default PAT files that are installed with AutoCAD by using Notepad and adding your custom hatch pattern data at the end of the file. There are two files: acad.pat and acadiso.pat, which are located as noted above.
Although line spaces are not required between hatch patterns pasted into the file, a blank line must be placed after the last hatch pattern definition in a PAT file. If a blank line is not placed after the last hatch pattern definition, the last hatch pattern definition will not be accessible. You can add comments by preceding text with two semicolons (;; ).
