CME – CME Release V Firmware for New UF Keyboards. Fus lack of any easy editing software might put some people off, but the UF5 is perfect for those who want a keyboard for the stage as well as the studio. This makes it much heavier than its similar-sized contemporaries, but also more robust.
Hi, trying out reaper, however I found interesting issue with my USB MIDI keyboard, CME UF7. ( ) Immediately I activated the CME7 MIDI input from preferences, Reaper did hang, occupying 100% of CPU power.
I am only able to kill the process from task manager, if I wait long enough for task manager to activate. I did look further on this: If my UF7 is on, Reaper hangs immediately after startup, and I need to kill the process. If UF7 is off, I have no similar issues. I've tried this with two Reaper versions, 2.026 and 2.027.
Toshiba e studio 160 driver download windows 7. Well, usually it of possible to order this disc [here| but I think that would be more because of the age of the laptop. • I need a print driver Windows 7 for Lexmark P3150 photo Currently, they do not support this printer drivers are only you can get the drivers Windows 2000, XP and Server 2003. Solution: you have to buy Win XP with valid serial key.
I have previous experience with same computer, same Windows XP install and Cubase SX2, SX3, Cubase 4, Reason 2 & 3, Traction 2 & 3, several stand alone synths and propably couple of sequencers I do not remember right now, and no, I have not had similar issue with them. (And yes, I am looking for sequencer that would work well for my usage I also have Korg MS-20 controller and Emagic AMT-8, those do not cause similar behaviour. I've tried to re-install CME, no help, tried using another USB port, no help.
Spintonik I have the UF-6.if you have the USB drivers working, then you may be a magician. I have been over to the CME-PRO forums, and the bottom line is this: this series of controller had a bad USB implementation, which they have fixed in the newer line of UF-XX keyboards. They are rumoring that the mainbaord from the new series may be made available for retro-fitting the UF-X series.but no dates, no prices.
Lots of posts on how to get the USB drivers to work.I am in IT, and finally hung that up, and use only the MIDI ina and out. I do like the keyboard.and for what I do, MIDI in and out are fine.so the USB stuff is no issue for me. Anyway.the USB drivers are very problmatic. I am contemplating aquiring the CME UF6 61-Key MIDI Controller and UF-400e FireWire Card.
I am aware of the possible USB driver issues and understand how to use MapleVMC to get around this (or just connect with midi). My question is how well does it control Reaper? In other words do the faders adjust volume of a track, do the transport buttons work, etc.? Any info would be greatly appreciated! Michaelos here is my solution to make UF8's transport works in reaper. If u use USB port for connection, u should install v1.05 driver MIDI-OX MIDI Yoke. When u use it, u should press 'channel + Dual' first to adjust the value to 1, this makes the keyboard to use the USB port.
Then, open MIDI-OX, make your UFx's MIDI output as MIDI-OX's input and make its output go to one of the MIDI Yoke's input. Now use the MIDI Filter function in MIDI-OX to filter out 'Timing Clock' and 'Active Sensing', choose 'Apply Filter to Input Monitor too' (if need) as well, press ok. Go to reaper, make the MIDI Yoke cable u used before 'Enable + Control', now u can go 'Actions' menu to assign each button of your UFx's to fit Reaper's tansport. From now, each time you want to use your UFx's transport in reaper later, u should open MIDI-OX first. If u use MIDI port for connection, u should install UF Editor MIDI Yoke.
When u use it, u should press 'channel + Dual' first to adjust the value to 0, this makes the keyboard to use the MIDI port. Then, open UF Editor, make your sound card's MIDI output as UF Editor's input and make its output go to one of the MIDI Yoke's input. Now click Play button in UF Editor. Go to reaper, make the MIDI Yoke cable u used before 'Enable + Control', now u can go 'Actions' menu to assign each button of your UFx's to fit Reaper's tansport. From now, every time you want to use your UFx's transport in reaper later, u should open UF Editor and click Play first, then u could minimize it to your Task Bar. It works for controlling transport in reaper. I want to know if its knobs & faders can align with reaper's track fader&Pan????
Hi, Thanks very much for your favorite and support for CME product.I’m sorry to take you in the trouble and make you wait. Let me explain why we don’t have new USB driver by now.Due to development earlier, the UF BIN has something incompatible, and the bin can’t be updated. So it is very hard to do the new driver. In a word, due to the technical reasons,we can’t do the new driver, not we don’t want to do.Hope you can undersand. Thanks very much. Because the UF is developed in 2004.In that time, there is no class-compliant driver specification of USB device, and Intel Mac is the newest OSSo Manufacturers can’t guarantee the compatibility before the operating. And UF v1 is stopped production in 2006,there is no newer OS than Intel Mac,too. So there is no newer USB driver. I mean you can use MIDI connection to let UF work again.Any MIDI interface is all right.Or if your sound card has MIDI port,it also can work. I’m sorry I can’t get your wish.Hope you can kindly understand. Regarding the vista driver of UF, I have a officious version driver. If you like, you can send me a mail(wma@centrmus.com).
In that I can send it to you. Regarding NANO, as I remember, it should be installed inside of UF.
And you can change the programme of Nano by UF. Hi, I also have and UF7 keyboard which i love except for the missing 64bit driver (and the “Timing Clock” and “Active Sensing” as named by MIDI-OX, which crash reaper). The vista driver you are talking about, is it 64 bit? Is it an official one? Or is it the 1.05 with modified inf which can also be found on the internet?
I do not really understand your explanation about 64 bit driver missing. What is a “bin”?, do you mean the binary/firmware file meant to program the micro-controller in the keyboard? If so, maybe would it be possible to program the chip directly from outside the usb?(with a programmer like JTAG, pickit or similar).
I also understand that this bin would turn the cme usb interface in a class compliant device, but if it is really not possible, why not provide the non class compliant 64bit driver. And if you also cannot do that, why not at least please release the driver source so maybe someone could modify it and built it for 64bit. As a side-note: while trying to find myself a solution i also noticed the same VID7104&PID2202 is used by Miditech Midistart-2 (which seem to have xp 64bit driver, much toysh keyboard btw). That also mean Midistart-2 driver can be installed for uf, but not working. Just as a curiosity, do you know if they share the same micro-controller?
