I have spent a lot of time in Excel 2010 and 2013 developing a javascript add-in. It works perfectly. Now I have just upgraded to 2016 and it does not work. My settings are all the same, but for some reason the connection between my app and Excel is being blocked.
In the Insert ribbon tab - 'my add-ins' is greyed out, unless I use an unprotected worksheet. This was not the case in 2010 or 2013. You could insert the add-in no problem. Why has this changed? In addition the following JavaScript API command no longer works in Excel 2016: Office.context.document.goToByIdAsync(rangename, Office.GoToType.NamedItem, function (asyncResult) I have checked this on a blank spreadsheet with just a single table called Table1.
To disable the 'Software Protection' service of Windows 7, follow the below procedure: Click on Start > type 'services.msc' in the search field and press enter. In the 'Services' window, look for the following entry: Software Protection Double click. Jan 24, 2015 Software protection service often running at 30% randomly and doesn't go away for minutes. This becomes really annoying. My awesome ultrabook becomes a noisy, overheated piece of crap. Couldn't find any solution online, lots of posts about some viruses. To disable the 'Software Protection' service of Windows 7, follow the below procedure: Click on Start type 'services.msc' in the search field and press enter. In the 'Services' window, look for the following entry: Software Protection Double click.
I have also checked it on a range. Having added loads of tables and ranges to my sheets, because this is how all the API document says you must reference things, they no longer work at all. Very worrying! See original instructions at: Is there a work around or what am I doing wrong? This is a major major problem for me. Hello, Hopefully you'll be able to help me out in my very problematic situation.
One day out of the blue many office 2013 professional Plus installations became trialed and in some cases even the windows itself became not geniue. I've tried to solve it with ospp.vbs commands etc or just activate it manually but it doesn't work and i get the the following message 'we're sorry, something went wrong.
Please try again later (0x80070054) The even log showes and error with event ID 8198 and the source is 'security-spp' which is the software protection service, it also states in the details that office tried to activate but failed with the following error id (0x80070054).on some computers the office will try to configure itself like it does the first time although it's obviously not a first time use. It even happend on my own computer this morning. On most computers I deployed an image, on my computer I used a fresh install with a fresh windows installation as well so it's not related to 'not enough storage space' which relates to (0x80070054) or to other errors like change in hardware or hardware failure. It also not related to any proxy connection because even tho we are a branch office that gets his internet services from the main office we still get an open line for microsoft and other sites and we did activate and still activation microsoft products. We're using Mac volume licensing and not kms, also we are certain we didn't exceeded the activation quota limit and we're not even close. I found a work-around but this problem keeps returning after couple of days or more on the same computers that it happend before and sometimes on new ones, but it does not happen on all of them. The wierd thing is that after the procedure I do the office is suddenly activated and the windows as well.
Restarting the software protection service and trying to activate office doesn't work, solely restarting the computer doesn't work either. Only when I combine both actions in the order above, everything works but it keeps coming back and I can't pin point the problem. The real issue is that we have more than 400 workstations in our environment and it happens alot and bugs the end-users with a good reason. Opening a single office file when office is not activated will open the 'office configuration window' and will freeze their work and it's a very big problem. I hope you would be able to give me some advice or a solution.
I'm new at this game. Building a Access database that tracks production capabilities of various manufacturing plants. Scenario: Company A produces 100 tons of Product X Company B produces 100 tons of Product Y Company C owns 25% of company A and 50% of Company B Company D owns 75% of company A and 25% of Company B and 100% of Company C. Company E owns 25% of Company B and 100% of Company D.
Company D and Company E are parent companies (no one owns them). How would I set up the tables relationships so I can do a query/report that show how much of Product X and Product Y company E (or D) owns? I think this will be a many to many relationship. I have a company table, and thought to include a field with parent and ownership, but that seems awkward because there could be mulitple parents, through several levels. I'm guessing that there are a number of Access Wizards out there that have set up Access databases that track stock portfolio ownership. I would appreciate it if you could point me in the right direction. I can connect using POP or Outlook Anywhere.
I can connect with IMAP if I use Thunderbird. I can connect with a Windows 10 system running W10 Mail program (IMAP). The send test sends the test message, but the receive test fails. Doesn't matter if the client is inside or outside the LAN. I see a lot of posts with the connection interrupted message, but no resolution here. Exchange IMAP is set for TLS and port 993 as well as 143 for un-encrypted.
OWA works fine. We don't normally use IMAP or POP but I would like to be able to if needed. Hey there, Recently migrated to Office 365 for my hosted email solution.
I was wondering when an employee leaves other than going to each distro and deleting them from it, is there another way? I noticed when i click on a mailbox and hit member of there is no way to remove them easily there. Typically I would remove users from lists and archive off the mail and delete the user.
Another question is when you are under mailboxes and click a users mailbox and then hit 'mailbox features' i see there is an Archiving section there and by default all my mailboxes are set to Disabled. If i enable this for a user, what happens? Moved to Outlook 2013 just yesterday. The only issues is that even though I have set my default storage as a local PST (Account Settings - Data Files) all emails do not move to local PST automatically. In Outlook 2010, there used to be a 'Change Folder' button under (Account Settings - Emails tab) but that is no longer there. Now I have to manually move messages from my web inbox to local PST. These include both messages for which I have and don’t have rules setup. How do I fix this?
It’s a painful task to move message s manually.
